My experience with dr Masterson was excellent. A very nice & caring doctor. A doctor you could talk to & who listened. He explained my knee operation to me very well also his “team” in theatre were very caring as well.

After reviewing the x-rays of my hips and knees, Mr Masterson explained the left hip due to wear and tear and showing arthritis, would need a hip replacement for the best result. Mr Masterson carried out the operation with great skill, care and professionalism at Spire East London on 12 September 2022. After two months, I am making a good recovery with no pain, only a bit of stiffness when walking or sitting for too long. I would certainly recommend him to family and friends as an excellent orthopaedic surgeon. The staff and facilities at Spire are very helpful and friendly

Mr Masterson carried out a full knee replacement surgery to my right leg. I am very happy with the result and would certainly recommend him. The teams at The Spire Hospital, Brentwood, i.e. physiotherapy, nursing staff etc., were also very good, kind and helpful.

I have suffered with significant knee issues for a number of years and undergone a number of surgeries. I was always told that it was likely that I needed a knee replacement but was too young to be considered. When I met Mr Masterson he listened to my history and clearly articulated his understanding on the impact that arthritis and the damage was having on my life at this stage. Mr Masterson recommended a partial knee replacement which he performed despite my moving away from the area midway through the consultation period. At hospital the entire nursing staff were very complimentary with regards to his reputation. Prior to surgery he was extremely informative and I was left in no doubt that I was receiving the very best care. 6 weeks post op despite a slight amount of expected residual discomfort mobility is improving rapidly and scarring is all but a trace. A personable, professional and pragmatic surgeon. Very much appreciated.
